Somehow I Know It's Love

by Young Oceans

/
1.
Living water, O how sweet Water to a heart so dry How precious are the words From Your lips divine Living water can be mine Living water. Living water
For all who thirst, all who seek
All who would come Your perfect peace "Living water!" in those words Truly there is life to me
 A dying one I come
Pining after Thee Truly there is life to me My Lord embrace me I come to You thirsty "Living water!" O how sweet From the lips of Christ I hear Eternal words of love
Falling from above Gently on my list'ning ear
2.
How could I not weep Without you by my side How could I know joy How could I see the light Turn Turn to me It’s this veil of tears Dark day after day Its this dying air How can I bear the weight Melt our hearts
3.
Somehow 04:13
Heavy like a black hole Every ray of light Everything of old Right over the brim And I’m all weighed down To nothing And I am in your wake Million trips around Do I dare to say My heart feels so safe Now that our sun Is finally fading Rivers into deserts Deserts full of rain Somehow Somehow I know it’s love Sometimes I wanna talk Seal up every deal Combing back my hair I dot my i’s To gather in the wind But everyone is free Free to come and go Feel our way to you Free to whisper no
4.
Maybe 04:32
When I’m crushed Utterly alone When I’ve nothing left When I’m scorned Maybe Maybe I’m closer When I break When I’m silenced When I weep ‘Till I’m blinded Finally I’m ready to fall Finally I’m ready to follow Maybe Maybe I’m closer To you
5.
Go With Me 04:25
If the moon should tear  If I’m called If I’m called If the sun dies If the moon should tear If I’m called To that vale Go with me Go with me When all we’ve known Is shattered Men will mourn in terror Will you find me faithful  At your side I’ve tried,  I’ve tried  To let go of Your hand  I’ve tried, I’ve tried  But You find me again Go with me To the end of the age
6.
Tell me Just this little while Death and it’s desires Gonna be gone, gone Gonna be gone Still their blood it cries Precious in Your sight Tell me Tell me Is Your heart is breaking Just like mine
7.
Fine Hour 05:04
Was a daydream Backseat Taxi The driver told me Look out the window A wedding party The groom was waiting But she was missing Was a flash And all was changed Bright light I looked away Was a figure Power Like a steel tower I was a dead man Gave up my neck then Like an animal Cowering Was a flash And all was changed Through a glass I saw your face Saw myself as a child
All smiles All laughter High in your arms It was a fine, fine hour A fine hour for a dream
8.
Have to give the money back To have you here around my neck Sweeter than the sweetest wine Prettier than gold
Heard you singing in the street Singing of paths of peace Wild riches in your hand Heard you were a giving tree
Well I’m coming off my hinges now I, I’m afraid I’ll bend my vow
When I’m so tired Lay my down in fearless sleep
Heard you’ve been around a while True to every simple child Fluttering above their souls Even out here in the crowd Well I’m coming off my hinges now I, I’m afraid I’ll bend my vow
When I’m so tired Lay my down in fearless sleep When I’m so tired Lay me down in fields in green
9.
Biting on my lip
Feet had nearly slipped Envy in my bones Hungry for a fix
Roses until death
Pride around their neck Folly in their soul Savages in gold
Am I just like the fool A beast toward You
O but then I enter by your hand Into the sanctuary
And all I see is your glory
I enter by Your hand
Into the sanctuary
And your love enfolds me
10.
Wide Awake 03:53
It’s a tidal wave A white light It’s a fan fare A high rise To be wide Awake Wide Awake With you See the wind die When the man calls And it’s so right

about

This one (I think) is truly different. I wanted to be as simple and as direct as I could possibly bear. Wanted to use as few words as I could. I think maybe these are the most intimate and direct prayers I felt I could utter… and I’ve never felt more vulnerable with production or with my voice.

Thank you, thank you for being the most lovely listeners and supporters. You have all given me an incredible gift… the chance to do what I truly love.

Peace to you friends in this crazy world,
Eric
